Conversations by The Fire
May 29 - August 29
Every Thursday and Friday at 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm
Unveiling Newport Scandals, History, and Stories with The Chanler Cultural Ambassador
Experience the allure of Newport’s golden age in a whole new light with our “Conversations by the Fire” summer series at The Chanler. Nestled beside the cliffside fire pit, this intimate gathering invites you to step into the stories that shaped our seaside town, some celebrated, others nearly forgotten.
Hosted on select Thursday and Friday evenings at 5 PM or 6 PM throughout the summer, these fireside conversations are led by Jeffrey Clark, The Chanler’s Cultural Ambassador and a spirited storyteller with a deep reverence for Newport’s layered history. As the sun sets over the Atlantic, Jeffrey will guide you through tales of Gilded Age grandeur, colonial intrigue, and the city’s transformation into a haven for artists, rebels, and visionaries.
Join us at The Chanler fire pit for a spirited evening where history, hospitality, and a touch of mystery converge.
